First things first: You need to be on the mailing list. To do this, visit the Swap Sizes page (or see the bottom of the page) and send an e-mail to the address listed for the swap you want to attend; include your name and e-mail address. OK, you can do that right now. We'll wait.

Done? Wonderful! On to the next step.

Once you're on the list, you'll receive notification about the next clothing swap via e-mail. You might receive a welcome message - that kind of depends on how swamped we are. If you're not sure we got your message, you can always send a follow-up!

At this time, different swaps have different requirements for RSVP's. Please follow the instructions on the e-mails you receive once you are on the mailing list. The number of attendees for each swap will depend on the location of the swap.

So, you got your invitation, cleaned out your closet (check the WHAT page for details on what to bring) and it's the big day. Are you ready? Of course you are!

Here's how it works:

We bring our clothes to the locale, dump 'em in a big pile in the middle of the floor, sit in a circle around the pile, and have at it. (This is also why we keep the number of attendees small!) You see something you like, you grab it and start a pile of clothes to try on.

Oh yeah, trying clothes on. This is not a "naked lady party" and sometimes there are children in attendance. There is a restroom but really, how fun is trying on clothes in a toilet stall? Instead, we wear spandexy-type under-outfits (think form-fitting clothes worn under regular clothes) and try the clothes on right there. Whatever doesn't work goes back in the pile for someone else to try on!

There's never any squabbling or fighting (you are far too groovy for that) - there are enough clothes for everyone! See, this is one happening swap - and you can be part of it!
